Tsepo Desando has joined the Ferguson Films production, The Queen. Tsepo will make his debut as Charles Matshikiza, the ex-husband of NomaPrincess ‘Noma’ Matshikiza, a role played by award-winning actress Brenda Ngxoli.
Tespo expressed his excitement over bagging the role.
"I am also honoured to work alongside award-winning actors"
We have seen Tsepo grace our television screens for as long as we can remember. This year, Tsepo celebrates 30 years of working in the entertainment industry. A journey he describes as full of many wonderful ups and some lesson-learned downs.
Speaking to We, Tsepo opened up about some of the changes he has witnessed in the industry over the years.
"Thirty years ago the theatre landscape was larger and more vibrant than the TV space whilst now the TV space is more dominant because there are more TV channels than before."
"I would also add that previously what was key was for an actor to deliver quality work to secure the next job whereas now its more than just that. A performer has to focus on quality as well as the business side of things such as marketing and brand management."
Tsepo Desando boasts a steller track record. In 30 years, the thespian is successfully making his mark and proving that he is a force to be reckoned with.
Tsepo did not reveal much about his upcoming role on the popular telenovela, leaving it to be more of a mystery. However, he did give us a juicy sneak peek about Charles, an estranged ex-husband of Noma who made wrong choices and moves in business and relationships.
He returns into Noma’s life to try and win her back and hopefully make up for the past mistakes he made with her and the Khozas.
“All I can add is that there will be lots of drama for the viewers"
Meanwhile, We previously reported that the Fergusons have been dragged recently on social media by former employees who have come forward with complaints.
Some of the celebs who came forward include Dineo Langa, Mlamli Mangcala, Rami Chuene and Vatiswa Ndara.
However, fans seem to have forgotten all that drama and are singing the couple's praises, thanks to Mzansi's hit show produced by the Fergusons, The Queen.
The show is a firm fave with South African audiences.
