Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu released the results at Lenana School in Nairobi after a two-week placement exercise conducted by the ministry.

To access the placement letters, parents are instructed to download them directly from the Ministry of Education website (http://www.education.go.ke/). Here’s a step-by-step guide:

  • Visit the Ministry of Education website: http://www.education.go.ke/.
  • Navigate to the Online Services section, where you will find two links.
  • Click on the first link titled “Click here to Access Form One Placement: link 1.“
  • You will be directed to the Kenya Education Management Information System (KEMIS) website, which you can also access directly using the link http://kemis.education.go.ke.
  • On the KEMIS website, find the section titled “2024 Form One Selection and Placement” and open the tab.
  • Enter the candidate’s index number and one name (either John or Sue if the candidate is named John Sue).
  • Click the search section, and the results will be displayed on the screen.
  • Below the results section, you will find “Access calling letter Here.” Click on this section.
  • You will be directed to a page with a link titled “Click here to Access Form One School Placement Letter.” Click the link to download the placement letter.

    The government remains committed to providing free day secondary education, including allocation for tuition and operational expenses.
